Do you call yourself Christian because you pray?
Do you call yourself Christian, going to church every day?
Do you call yourself Christian because you try to do good?
Do you call yourself Christian because someone told you, you should?
Do you call yourself Christian because you give to the poor?
Do you call yourself Christian because you want to be more?
All these alone are not quite enough,
But being a true Christian isn’t that tough.
It’s not at all about what you do,
It is all about what God did for you.
Sending His son to die on the cross,
God created a way to rescue the lost.
Belief in that fact is what saves you alone,
It’s not what you do, what you say, or what you may own.
Through faith comes works,
not the other way around.
And being Christian has perks,
But many must be found.
All that you have was given by grace,
And all can be lost if you forget your true place.
Complete fellowship with God means submitting your all,
It means making Him big, and making you small.
So, study Gods word with all your heart.
Get to know the God that gave you your start.
Get to know him, both inside and out.
If things start to get rough, give Him a shout.
When you know Him, you will be free,
Actions alone is just “living for me.”
So, make sure your life isn’t just about what you do;
You don’t want to be the one that God never quite knew.
