This was a 7th grade science fair project in which we had to create a bridge to span a specified distance and hold as much weight as possible. I went with a truss bridge and it did hold weight, but not as much as it could due to me not making the bases wide enough to prevent tipping.

The idea was to create a way to hold it that was easy to assemble, sturdy enough to be placed on a wide variety of surfaces without being blown over, and also small enough to fit in the trunk of a car. It also had to be capable of being assembled by one person.
