A great battle within makes me question my worth,
Many lies overwhelm me, built up from my birth.
lies that make me think that I am less than I am,
But the truth remains that I am God’s precious lamb.
He will direct me to great pastures, full and green.
His close watch over me lets me know that I’m seen.
He will come after me when I lose my own way.
He’ll listen to everything that I have to say.
To God, I am worth more than a room full of Gold,
From the day I was born to the days that I’m old.
My value increases as my wisdom grows strong,
The wisdom accumulates when I’m right, and I’m wrong.
The enemy’s lies always distract and destroy,
So we must be real cautious of his clever ploy.
Look upon your great shepherd to lead you straight,
For He’ll be sure to lead you to that heavenly gate.
