Sometime in the days of past,
A form of dirt and mud was perfectly cast
Into an image of the perfect being,
A fact that I hope you are seeing.
And into it was put a breath of life,
But he was made without a wife.
So God took a rib from his side,
And created a woman to be his bride.
But then came the devil with a plan
To forever change the life of man.
He tempted Eve with something so good
Adam soon followed as Satan predicted he would.
From then on in, a thing called sin
Entered our bodies from deep within.
Replacing our God with an empty space,
We became too ashamed to see His face.
But He provided a way to save us all
Even those who caused the fall.
He sent His son to fill the void,
So whoever believed wouldn’t be destroyed.
God loves us all but demands the best,
But as we fall, He won’t rest,
Until we come to accept His son’s death
As our only means to an everlasting breath.
God is our hope and our peace.
The life we live is just on lease.
So treat it well and follow the rules,
Or God will treat you as a bunch of fools.
His judgment is complete and just
He punishes all pride, greed, and even lust.
But with his help, we can be spared,
As the grace He extends is easily shared.
So accept God’s grace while you can,
You never know what’s in God’s plan.
Today might just be your very end
So it’s best to make God your next best friend.
