This house was brought to me by a friend. I believe it is an existing house, or at least based off one. I took it and fixed some things and modeled it into AutoCAD.
Designed in 2006 using AutoCAD 2004
1st floor: 1,990 Sq Ft
2nd floor: 1,669 Sq Ft
Total: 3,659 Sq Ft
3 Bed / 3 Bath
From the front entrance you enter into a large living room that’s open above to the second floor and the high ceiling line complete with skylight. From the living room you can enter into the kitchen and dining areas. A small bath and laundry room is to the left of the kitchen. A laundry chute is built into this house from the second floor to quickly deposit laundry near the machines.
The second floor includes 3 modest bedrooms. The two bedrooms each have a balcony but share a bathroom while the Master bedroom has no balcony but has a small bathroom to itself with a good size walk in closet. A mezzanine area was designed above the living room to provide a spot for reading or relaxing away from the main action below.
The 3d view shows the curved windows I places above much of the larger openings below. It also shows the divider placed on the balcony to create privacy between rooms. The railing around the mezzanine was also my first use of the extrude to path and divide command in AutoCAD.
The steep roof design on this house gives it a somewhat dramatic appearance. It also creates the skylight for the living room below.
